Smartphone compays are started to increase their princing of there mobiles where the budget smartphone lineups are begins to move up to midrange smartphones pricing constantly all the smartphone companys are doing the same after the introduction of 5G in india by using the tag line of 5G they started to increase the price of their mobiles and not upgrading their specs even worse they started to downgrade the performance. which is not good
The problem with cameras
Companies are now removing the ultra wide angle lens camera from the smartphones below 20,000 rupees which is previously can seen in mobiles under 12,000 rupees which is now only seen in mobiles in the category of flagship and flagship killer. They marketing the smartphones by the count of mega pixels they used. Now we can see smartphones with 50mp camera in under 10,000 rupees and the secondary camera are mostly the 2mp camera which are useless. They adding these 2mp cameras to increase the no.of cameras they used in their smartphones but not providing the actual usable cameras like telephoto or ultrawide camera lenses. Now the companies are fooling their customers by placing big camera modules for those 2mp sensor and portraiting it has they used some big sensors in their mobile phones. the design language of these smartphones are also becoming identical with those camera modules. The mobiles under 20,000 are not supporting 4K recording because those weak ISP limitation used in the processor which are made only focusing on 5G and not upgrading the ISP of those processors
No improvement in performance
Smartphones are begin to reach the point where is gets saturated there is a slight improvements in the performance of the smartphones after the introduction of 5G they even get downgraded for example the Poco m4 has two versions of mobiles in which the 4G varient looks more feature rich than the 5G version by adding 5G they even cut down the quality of display and cameras. The big company like Apple also started to not upgrading their smartphone processors and using the same processor as last generation and upgrading only for their Pro model lineups.
Ram extention
Mobiles are launching with ram of 16gb or higher which is a overkill for the smartphones. It is a rare case scenario for those users to runout off ram but even they are providing featuers likes ram extentions to those smartphones. Smartphones which are using faster storages like UFS 3.0 , 4.0 can slightly benefits from these features but the mobiles under 10,000 rupees with eMMC storage are providing 8gb of additional ram which they combinedly marketing as a 16gb ram mobiles which is a misleading to the customers the budget mobiles are not going to benefit from the additional ram by using slower storage and even the processor cant handle such work load so it is definitely a gimmicy feature for the budget mobiles using ram extention.
In the past we can find mobiles which are valuable under 15,000 rupees but now it changes to 25,000 rupees to find a smartphone with good specifications. From 20,000 to 25,000 rupees there is a huge performance and spec difference can be seen so it makes people to spend more money to get a product they can satisfy in all aspects below this price point there will be a downgrade in any part of the mobiles like camera or display and it makes to choose a mobiles with a features which is more priority to us by making sacrifies on other features
