There are few ways that a YouTube channel can get hacked like there is a data breach of some kind that expose the information of the Youtuber either thorough a malicious third party website or an app. Sometimes through a phishing websites or the account has inadequate password security. The hackers can sent a email like it is a mail that is received from the official youtube account which promotes to login to continue your account through the link the hackers attached to the mail

According to Forbes, emails are sent to the people trageted from the list of influencers luring them to a fake login page or sometimes they sent a link for a promotion video where they say that the details are given in the link. By clicking the link hackers get the cookies informations and other information they need to login to there account. These methods are used to harvest their google account credentials which then the attackers get accesss to the Youtube account 

Hackeres are start to stream videos which are against the Youtube guidelines which makes the Youtube channel to get community strike are even get banned

There are some measures to prevent the youtube channel from getting hacked

• use a dedicated google account for the youtube channel
• set a unique password for your google account and change it frequently
• do not sign in your account many devices and if you are not sure about the security
• do not open links from unkown or malicious websites or mails
• use a dedicated browser with minimal extensions
